It’s not always easy to upload media to social networks, as each network has different restrictions and policies. This guide is designed to help you find the best specifications for your image and video files.

In social posters, the images and videos uploaded by users are not edited or modified in size, resolution or quality. More information can be found here.

If you want to publish images to multiple social networks at the same time, the optimal aspect ratio is 1.91:1 (e.g., 1200 x 628 px or 1080 x 566 px). This aspect ratio is suitable for most social networks and is optimized for mobile use. For Twitter images, the optimal aspect ratio is 16:9 (e.g. 1200 x 675 px).

Note:Images in GIF format are accepted by Facebook and Instagram, however there are certain conditions for publishing animated GIFs. More details can be found here.

Note for YouTube shorts:

  • The duration must be between 1 and 60 seconds.
  • The aspect ratio should be either square (1:1) or portrait (recommended 9:16). If the video is portrait mode but the ratio differs from 9:16, YouTube automatically adds black/dark zones on each page (left/right) of the video. A landscape video is never considered a YouTube short film regardless of duration.

If you want to publish a video on multiple social networks at the same time, the aspect ratio should be 16:9 (e.g., 1280 x 720 px) or 1:1 (e.g., 1080 x 1080 px). These aspect ratios are well suited for most social networks.
